interactive website reflection 2 I used the website www.kidshealth.org. I enjoyed this site because it had several introductory lessons for the circulatory and respiratory systems. The images are engaging for students.

Interactive Web Site Reflection in the Classroom What you experienced with the stylus is the most common thing I have seen with people using the smart board. It seems like a good deal of time is spent beating on the board with the stylus. But as always, when technology works it is great.

IW reflection I used the easyteach with my computer and LCD projector. We reviewed communication process by demonstrating the diagram. Than the last slide I had the students then use my computer to place the concept in the correct place.
The students had a good time playing with the computer. They were better than I moving things around. They did seem to pay attention more.
Although it was an easy demonstration, it took a long to set up and edit. I was editing almost as long as I was creating.
I couldn't find web sites that applied to my subject area. I did find speeches I could use on You tube, but I didn't figure out how to use it. That is my goal.

Interactive Web Site Reflection in the Classroom Well, I did the Easiteach on Friday of last week last block. Our lesson was on the Elements of Design for Drawing II class. The stylus didn't work but I just used the computer to move the words and definitions into the right spots. All in all I really liked putting the lesson together and am planning one for ceramic figurines. Some of the students were engaged and genuinely did enjoy what we were doing. I do think the presentation did drive home a deeper understanding of the Elements and their real function and necessity in creating worthwhile and quality artwork. I've since double checked using then stylus and it did work well this morning,so I'm betting it was operator error. All in all good experience. Sue Sawvel

Barb Rohlf: Website reflection-1 The Penguins on Ice activity sounds like a good one. Students still struggle in third grade with putting the correct punctuation on sentences.! Maybe we should give this site a try :)

Interactive Website Reflection 2 The hidden picture game sounds fun. I bet the students like that one. I will have to get some of my students onto this site. I think math activities are much easier to find and use than any other subject.

I W Reflection 2 My students and I used the website eduplace.com to write wacky web tales. This was to review grammar with at tie-in to our social studies unit on communities. The wacky web tales section of the site is like doing Mad Libs, whereas you fill in blanks that are labeled with a part of speech. When you are finished, a story is generated using your chosen words. The kids thought it was a lot of fun, but some were challenged to keep the different parts of speech straight. We chose a story about town traditions as to fit with SS, but there are a good variety of genres to choose from.
I liked this particular mad libs type site because you cannot see the story as you write, and have to truly know what types of words would fit the type of speech required. Saying that, another reason I like this particular one is that it also includes a parts of speech help button!
